I want to highlight two key enhancements that I believe are particularly significant

Veeam Backup & Replication v12.2 introduces expanded support for modern workloads, particularly with the addition of Proxmox VE and MongoDB. The integration with Proxmox VE includes features such as immutable backups, advanced CBT integration, and Veeam BitLooker for efficient backup operations. Similarly, the new MongoDB backup support enables seamless protection with Veeam’s proven backup engine, offering advanced recovery options through the new Veeam Explorer for MongoDB. These enhancements ensure that Veeam continues to provide comprehensive protection for a broader range of environments, addressing the growing needs of our customers as they adopt more diverse workloads.

The additional of Proxmox support along with a serious upgrade of capabilities for Nutanix AHV shows not only that Veeam is committed to extending platform support, but also do so as the market guides us.

The v12.2 release also marks a significant advancement in cloud workload protection, with the introduction of support for Amazon Redshift, Amazon FSx, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Cosmos DB. These enhancements allow for comprehensive, policy based protection and recovery of cloud native workloads, further reinforcing Veeam’s commitment to providing robust, scalable, and cloud-ready data protection solutions. Additionally, the new Veeam Cloud Vault support offers service providers and enterprises a powerful tool for managing immutable backups with ease, ensuring compliance and simplifying day-to-day operations.
