It shouldn’t come as a surprise that I’m writing about an event that is being held online… especially in this very moment in time. 2020 is the year of the virtual! Though in this case, the VMware vForum Online Spring evet is one of those online events that hasn’t been put together directly in response to current situations… it has always been a way to get the goodness of VMware’s messaging across to the masses that maybe can’t attend VMworld or the in person vForums that are held later in the year,
vForum Online is a valuable opportunity that is at your fingertips, and you don’t want to miss out. During the half-day virtual IT event, you can attend a number of breakout sessions, chats with experts, and Hands-On Labs. The only thing that you need to do is make yourself available, grab your laptop or any other device, and connect to the internet.
This is a half day online conference scheduled to be held on May 13th, 2020.
What Can You Expect During vForum Online?
We should all now be used to Virtual and Online conferences by now. The main difference here with vForum Online is that I expect it to be a much more well run event then some of the virtual conferences happening at the moment. The reason for this is because this isn’t an in-person event that’s been converted to an online event. It’s been purposed and crafted for an online audience from the get go. This means the agenda is tight, well organised and will suit a number of different people looking to learn on various VMware topics. There are even Hands On Labs that can be taken during the event!
What Am I Going To Do?
I’ve registered and have studied at the Agenda here. Below are my picks for each time slot, remembering that are multiple streams and multiple sessions running at the same time.
All times below are Pacific time.
- Breakout 1 (10am – 11am) Run and manage Kubernetes with vSphere 7
- Breakout 2 (11am – 12pm) vSAN: A modern storage approach for the hybrid cloud
- Breakout 3 (12pm – 1pm) Container Networking and Service Mesh with VMware NSX
- Breakout 4 (1pm – 2pm) Seamlessly Extend Your Data Center to Cloud with VMware Cloud on AWS
- Breakout 5 (2pm – 3pm) vSphere PNIC VDS to N-VDS migration during NSX-T host Preparation (PS)
